The front room is now painted, it is time to finish sanding back the floors and applying the hard wax oil to the floors, at the moment they have been sanded back with a 60 grit sand paper, just to take of the old varnish and screed from previous applications, the front room feels big, the floors look a bit dull and muted, with the right preparation they will come up a treat.
There was another reason for painting the front room white, to help throw more natural light downstairs via the port holes in the living room floor.
