After a week of nothing but rain we have been blessed with a few days of sunshine, the marina owners have moored a 90ft barge base next to the boat, time to give the outside another coat of paint and check the seams we caulked last year.
All good, few cracks here and there but nothing that isn't manageable, if we are going to move Tino we need to know we have done everything to seal and contain what water she does take on during the journey, as previously stated we have a 450 hp Caterpillar engine to propell the boat and a lister engine powering the bilge pump, both engines have been tested and manually turned with no problems.
We have spoken to Andy a local sea dog who has checked over the boat whilst the internal walls were of, he was surprisingly pleased with Tino, I have seen pictures of the journey to Our current mooring however this was in 2005 and she has not moved since, we will get a second opinion.
What we can do is seal up the outside and anti foul under the water line, Black above a white boot top and ox blood anti foul.
