Downstairs lighting walkway and kitchen

As per our previous post we are copying the lights in the front room in Finley's corridor and the kitchen, we are using adaptable boxes and our one watt LEDs.

Cut a hole in the middle of the cover, two knock out holes in the side daisy chained down the corridor into the kitchen.

Bathroom suite.....

As previously stated the bathroom has been the biggest dilemna,  we originally thought of a wet room  however this idea was fraught with possibilities and none of them positive, Marlon our local ships wright has warned us from day one regarding soapy water in your bilges, unfortunately for us the bathroom sits to left of our hallway bilge, we are using a turbo flush Saniflo macerator an old style toilet our tin bath and shower, towel rail and basin, black safety flooring white Lino walls.

chequer plate walkway

We have a few sheets of chequer plate left, we are thinking of cladding the steps down to Finley's bedroom. The aluminium works well with the mahogany floor and once again we are using materials already on the boat originally the outer deck flooring.

Central Heating, Diesel Boiler Cast iron Rads

The boiler is in place in the engine room,  all the pipework for the rads is in place, we have to finish the parquet Middle section in the front room allowing us to finally connect the two rads to the system.

Now we have all the copper tails for the rads in the front room, we can finish the middle parquet section, as previously stated we have run out of mahogany and are cutting the Oak strips into blocks.

Write lists get straight get organised

Polished concrete with sink and hob

We have made the shuttering to fit the sink and hob, making sure we have left enough space for any connections.

We have used a mix of 3 Portland Cement White

2 silver sand

1 Canterbury Spa, mix of stones and shells

1 mix of red and green glass

To avoid cracks we are using a damp proof matting and strengthening the slab with strips of metal, we used chicken wire, however it comes in a roll and tends to bend itself back, we are going to cut down some old metal coat hangers and use the varying lengths to strengthen around the sink and hob.
